The Ayr Thoracic Ultrasound Course is back after a 3.5 year hiatus due to COVID. This is a hands-on practical course which offers the delegates the requisite initial training and preparation towards acquiring Basic (Level 1) Thoracic Ultrasound skills, as per the guidelines of the Royal College of Radiologists and the British Thoracic Society. It is designed for all clinicians who aspire to provide safe and timely care for patients with pleural diseases.
Participants are limited to 24, with 8 ultrasound machine stations, available to allow intensive training in ultrasound techniques and ultrasound guided puncture of in-vitro models (‘phantoms’).
The programme commences at 08.30 and concludes at 17.00:
