Respiratory Genomics Conference

Join us for a two-day Respiratory Genomics Conference at St Martins House Conference Centre in Leicester (UK) that aims to engage and inspire the genomics community. Keynote speakers spanning genetic epidemiology, functional genomics and respiratory medicine include: Catherine John (University of Leicester), Darrell Kotton (Boston University), Francesa Polverino (Baylor College Medicine), Jenny Dickens (University of Cambridge), Om Kurmi (University of Coventry), Amadou Gaye (Meharry Medical College), Erik Melen (Karolinska Institutet) and Stefano Guerra (University of Arizona), as well as invited oral and poster presentations.
This will be an excellent opportunity to network across the respiratory genomics research community. Early career scientists are especially welcome.
Registrations must be submitted online via our conference shop. From here you can fill out a short questionnaire, including whether you intend to submit an abstract. We will then get in touch via email regarding the abstract submission.
The deadline for abstracts is 16th September and registration closes on 15th October.

Scottish EBUS best practice update and introduction to new Scottish simulation training pathway

The course is designed to provide an in-depth introduction to Endobronchial Ultrasound, using a mix of didactic lectures and hands-on training using cadavers. There will also be an introduction to the new Bronchoscopy Training Pathway. Endobronchial Ultrasound training will be provided on cadavers. The course objective is that participants understand mediastinal anatomy, indications and limitations of EBUS and the skills required to perform EBUS safely and effectively.
Places are strictly limited to ensure that delegates will receive maximum hands-on experience.

Scottish EBUS best practice update and introduction to new Scottish simulation training pathway

The course is designed for clinicians who are currently performing bronchoscopy and EBUS in Scotland. The day will provide update on latest standards, guide you through the new simulation based training program and how you can help support trainees in your area. International experts will discuss and demonstrate how they perform and teach comprehensive nodal staging by EBUS. Following a series of lectures and interactive discussions in the morning, you will have ample opportunity for hands on practice with the simulator. By the end of the day, you will understand the rationale for change and how you can deconstruct procedures to ensure the best experience for trainees in your area. This will be a relaxed and interactive course with expert UK and international faculty sharing their experience.
Places are strictly limited to ensure that delegates will receive maximum hands-on experience.
