Travel award
This award of up to £850 is available to Respiratory trainees (medical and surgical) who have had an abstract accepted and is to be used towards travel under suitable expenses, accommodation, registration and other costs associated with attendance. Efforts should be made to arrange travel in advance to secure cheaper pricing and reasonably priced accommodation in the area found. The deadline for applications will be in May/June each year to facilitate attendance at the national and international Respiratory conferences.
Education based award
This award of up to £850 is available to Respiratory trainees (medical and surgical) who have an interest in education and is to be used towards travel under suitable expenses, accommodation, registration and other costs associated with attendance at a recognised conference. Efforts should be made to arrange travel in advance to secure cheaper pricing and reasonably priced accommodation in the area found. We are hoping that the recipient of the award will then be able to disseminate their learning to the wider group of trainees through the Respiratory training day or similar such events. The deadline for applications will be in November/ December each year.
